IFSC stands for Indian Financial System Code. The IFSC Code is a 11 character code for identifying the bank and branch which an account is held. IFSC code is used by electronic payment system applications such as Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS), National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) and Centralised Funds Management System (CFMS).
